I am personally not happy to hear Mr President make a side comment that at 72 there is ‘a limit to what I can do’. Now while this is a TRUE statement, Afterall, it is a fact that HE IS OLD AND WE ALL KNEW THAT. Yet, that is still NOT what those of us fighting for CHANGE want to hear. He cannot tell us now that there is a limit to what he can do. Let him just DO his LIMIT and let posterity judge the rest.NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTABLE to millions who fought for him to clean up our system.
It is now almost 3 weeks since our President was sworn in (following 2 MONTHS of pre-inauguration preparation) and I am personally concerned that to date the Chief of Staff or SFGN or Ministers or Special Assistants who will ACTUALLY DO THE WORK are YET to be announced. We know Baba will NOT do the work himself and that is why he needs workhorses like Fashola, Ifueko, Pat Utomi, and other amazing bureaucrats who are ready, and who can help him actualize the CHANGE REVOLUTION the way he wants it. The President was elected 2 MONTHS before he was sworn in, and should have had enough time to pick his ministers so he would be ready to start rocking from day one. SO HE SHOULD PLEASE ANNOUNCE THE MINISTERS ALREADY!!!
Before the discredited PDP people start thinking this gives them mouth to talk, I must also point out that even GEJ did not announce his ministers until June 25th, and Obasanjo was even much later, so by the standard of these people, Baba is NOT late, but I am venting because that this is NOT supposed to be a normal regime and PDP people should stay out of this. My ranting aside, the fact remains that the slowest Baba is still better than the fastest Jonathan, so this is not for them to put mouth. Its an internal venting by a concerned Buharist.
My Baba, Sir, this is supposed to be a regime of CHANGE. We need to be ready to go on day one and right now this go-slow is starting to get discouraging to your die hard supporters like me. Baba please quicken your pace a little. The foreign Junkets are good and purposeful but right now NIgerians need YOU at HOME to solve HOME problems sir.
